Aïlien Reyns (1984 °) is a Brussels audiovisual artist and co-founder of the transdisciplinary production and distribution collective TRIPOT.

She also teaches Visual Techniques at the University of Antwerp. Aïlien's predilection for transmedia art is rooted in her training as a historian (UGent) and audiovisual artist (LUCA Brussels).

Her artistic work focuses on underrepresented groups or perspectives in society: recurring topics are migration, public / private space, ethnic / gender discourse, and digital communication. The aesthetics of Aïlien's work is characterized by a love for narrative compositions, popular culture and the transformative beauty that resides in the (false) margins of her technical medium. The research and creation process that she initiates is always participatory and interdisciplinary. The end result shifts between visual art and visual anthropology. All of her work has already been shown at several international art festivals, such as IFFRotterdam and Schunk * (NL), the Neuer Aachener Kunstverein (DE), International Experimental Video Art Festival at Museo de Almeria (ES), Yilan Museum of Art (TWN), The Picture Show in New York and the Scholarship Media Festival, University of Pennsylvania (USA). In Belgium she exhibited at La Cité Miroir (Liège), C-Mine Cultural Center (Genk), and iMal and Argos (Brussels). TRIPOT was also the laureate of Input / Output Brugge in 2015.
