Annick Hus is a Belgian freelance journalist and researcher who has a keen interest in the complex dynamics that shape animal welfare, biodiversity and ecosystem health.

Her investigations reveal the often-overlooked links between livestock farming, wildlife conservation and EU policy, connecting local stories to broader European trends.

To deepen her expertise, Annick pursued academic studies in Animal Welfare Science, Ethics and Law at the University of Winchester, followed by Biodiversity, Wildlife and Ecosystem Health at the University of Edinburgh.
