Gregg Young (Belgium) is product owner at VRT Innovation and creative producer at VRT Sandbox. He works on Flemish and European research projects and sets up collaborations between start-ups (SMEs) and VRT brands.
At VRT Sandbox, he developed several VR and AR projects for Ketnet, Eén, Sporza and VRT NWS, among others.
Gregg is a digital pioneer in audiovisual film and television production with a focus on immersive storytelling and interactive media. Before joining VRT, he worked as a freelance creative producer for several media channels, including MTV, VIER (SBS), VTM and JIM. In addition, Gregg co-founded the makerspace ‘The Distillery’, in collaboration with Nerdlab-Ghent, and was a member of the ‘creative hub’ of Kunstencentrum Vooruit as an audiovisual expert. He was also independent producer of the documentary ‘We Must Be Dreaming’ (directed by David Dhert).
Gregg is always looking for new ways to bring stories where technology meets content. He is a lifelong learner and entrepreneur with a DIY attitude.
