Jelmer Mommers (The Netherlands) has been a full-time climate and energy correspondent since 2015.

He previously worked as a researcher and web editor for De Groene Amsterdammer, platform Investico and De Gids. He graduated cum laude from the Masters in Journalism, won the Villamedia Thesis Prize for his thesis and, together with his former colleagues at Investico, the VVOJ Incentive Prize for Investigative Journalism. In 2017, he made world headlines when he uncovered an old Shell climate film.
