BRUSSEL - ‘Facing Brussels’ is a photographic exploration of the city's incredible diversity. The project captures the many different people who make up Brussels, ranging from tourists and commuters to Eurocrats, homeless people, migrants and the local population.

Jan Locus, Dieter Telemans, Alain Schroeder, Nick Hannes, Loïc Delvaulx, Marine Dricot, Jimmy Kets, Philippe Herbet, Eric de Mildt, Tim Dirven and Wim Knapen each selected a different sociological aspect of the city to examine in their own unique way. Writer and journalist Catherine Vuylsteke has provided the texts for the project.

A book with the same title is also being published to coincide with the exhibition.

The project has been jointly supported by the Pascal Decroos Fund, the Fonds pour le journalisme (French-speaking Community), and the Prince Philippe Fund. This is the first time these three Belgian funds have supported a project together.
