Every year, the European Press Prize salutes the highest achievements in European journalism across four categories (each worth €10,000):

  • The Investigative Reporting Award: for discovering and revealing facts, exposing hidden news to the public
  • The Distinguished Reporting Award: for exceptional reporting, telling a story in the best possible way
  • The Opinion Award: for a remarkable textual interpretation of the world we live in
  • The Innovation Award: for challenging the current boundaries of journalism by finding new ways to engage with audiences

Eligible entries must have been published between December 1, 2018, and December 31, 2019. Entering is free and all entries can be submitted in their original language (entries must only include a 200 word summary of the project in English). All information about entering and the submission form can be found here.

Please help us recognise this year's quality work in European press by passing this opportunity along to your fellow journalists and network.
