Ayfer Erkul (Belgium) has been working as a freelance journalist since 2016.
Ayfer worked for the Belgian newspaper De Morgen for 20 years. She specialised in terrorism, extremism, Islam and diversity, reporting from countries such as Turkey, Afghanistan, Pakistan, Guantanamo, Syria and Iraq.
