Sofyan El Bouchtili (b. 1994) is a Belgian freelance journalist working from Amsterdam.

Sofyan studied Journalism at the Arteveldehogeschool and EU journalism at the schools of journalism in Utrecht (NL) and Aarhus (DK). He made his debut at the Dutch magazine Vrij Nederland and was nominated for the Tegel Jaarprijs in the Pioneer category. Sofyan chaired the first edition of the journalism think tank of the Stimuleringsfonds voor de Journalistiek.
