LEUVEN - Op de 20e editie van DOCVILLE gaan er verschillende documentaires die tot stand kwamen met de steun van Fonds Pascal Decroos in (avant)-première. Het festival loopt van 20 tot en met 28 maart 2024 en vindt plaats in verschillende cinema's in Leuven.

De selectie van films die tot stand kwamen met steun van Fonds Pascal Decroos zijn:

  • 23/03/2024: Marching in the Dark - Kinshuk Surjan (deze documentaire kwam tot stand met middelen van Stichting Filip Decock)

  • 26/03/2024: This is my moment - Lieven Corthouts

‘Journalists should add value.’ I have been hearing that a lot lately. Jeff Jarvis said it on July 3rd, at the third World Journalism Education Congress (WJEC3) in Mechelen, Belgium. ‘Add value.’ Pity. Just adding value could even become fatal, under the present circumstances.

In February 2010 the Carnegie UK Trust appointed Blair Jenkins as a ‘Carnegie Fellow’ to investigate how better news media can be delivered in the digital age. The results of Jenkins' investigation have now been published in a sharp report: 'Better Journalism in the Digital Age'.
