In de eerste aflevering van Radio Apache, de podcast van Apache, praten we met Sven Gatz, Vlaams minister bevoegd voor media (Open VLD), de Nederlandse journalist Joris Luyendijk en communicatiewetenschapper Steve Paulussen (UA), over commercialisering van media en de commerciële druk op redacties, de verregaande mediaconcentratie in Vlaanderen, de financiering van journalistiek en de rol van alternatieve journalistieke initiatieven.

'Budrus' wins 2012 PUMA.Creative Impact Award

 PUMA.Creative, in partnership with the BRITDOC Foundation, announced Budrus, the story of a successful non-violent protest in the West Bank, as the winner of the 2012 PUMA.Creative Impact Award. This annual €50,000 award was created by PUMA to identify and honour the documentary film that has made the most significant positive social or environmental impact. Gasland was awarded a Special Jury Commendation.

BOGOTA - Colombia is a country with a complex political and social situation that affects the country to this day. At present, it is attempting to pursue a democratic transition and the end of armed conflict. One of the main issues of this transition is the need to strengthen the mass media that covers war and peace agendas. Specific training is needed, especially for journalists who carry out their work in dangerous settings, both outside and within the editorial offices.
