Thomas Ceulemans is a Belgian independent film and television director.

Thomas Ceulemans graduated from the Belgian film school RITCS with the short film Etrobo, inspired by Raoul Servais' award-winning animated film Taxandria.

He earned his first professional stripes in the non-fiction world. He sailed the 7 seas and shot several human interest documentaries in Ghana, Brazil, Papua New Guinea, Ethiopia and Honduras. He created the acclaimed documentary series 'Wildcard Tanzania' and 'Wildcard Myanmar', which look at science from a poetic perspective. And he made 'Couleurs Carolo', a quirky series about Charleroi, the ugliest city in the world, which he portrays in a positive light. The adventure only got bigger after that, with highlights including the highly acclaimed anti-war animated short 'Daddy went Daddy Did' and ZOOks, a feature-length animated epic about a young heroine who saves nature from destruction. For his latest project, Thomas spent six months in Burkina Faso. The result is La forĂȘt de Djibril, a mid-length feature about a dreamy boy who sets out to save his village from desertification.
