BRUSSEL - Also in 2020 you can apply for a grant for your investigative journalism project. € 240,000 is provided, spread over 4 rounds. Reports in daily and weekly newspapers, online longreads, podcasts, documentaries, ... the Pascal Decroos Fund supports in-depth journalism in all its forms.

The next deadline is Sunday, February 16, 2020. All information about how to apply for a work grant can be found on this website. You can submit the application online via our application website.

The projects must transcend regular reporting, daily journalism or correspondence. The subject or theme must be special, or else the approach. As always, all forms of special journalistic projects for the written or audiovisual press are considered: reports, documentaries, series, books, podcasts, ...
The project should be published in a Flemish media-outlet.

To increase the accessibility of the Fund and the quality of the applications, the Fund is strongly committed to providing assistance and advice to applicants. Applicants can ask the project coordinator of the Fund to review their application in advance. He can point out any unclarities or missing information and suggest improvements before submitting them to the jury. However, this does not in any way guarantee a positive evaluation of the project. That decision is made independently by the jury.
