The Pascal Decroos Fund is a project of Journalismfund Europe, a non-profit organization, and aims to keep Pascal Decroos's memory alive and continue his life's work by:

  • promoting quality and investigative journalism in Flanders and beyond;
  • creating opportunities for young people to develop their journalistic talents in practice;
  • bringing together people from different walks of life.

The Pascal Decroos Fund aims to financially support Flemish special and investigative journalism with grants. This gives both aspiring and experienced journalists the opportunity to develop their ideas.

The Pascal Decroos Fund endorses the rules of journalistic ethics, as laid down in the Code of the Council for Journalism, which was approved on September 20, 2010, by the board of directors of the non-profit organization Association of the Council for Journalism, which represents journalist associations, publisher federations, and major media houses.
